A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND …

It seemed like a longshot back in mid-2014 when Krista May, KEOS board chair, went through the process of placing KEOS in competition for the Caldwell Country Cares Sweepstakes for a $1,000.00 prize awarded monthly by Caldwell Country Chevrolet with help from KBTX TV-Channel 3 in publicizing and monitoring the event. There are so many worthy non-profits in the Brazos Valley, what would make Brazos Educational Radio the one that could gain the most votes?

Krista pointed out our many virtues and the many services we provide to the community, and the fact that we are one of the very few remaining all-volunteer radio stations in the nation.

Time passed and, month after month, KEOS was not chosen as one of the three Brazos Valley organizations selected to compete for the award.

Then, as if the fates knew it was our birthday, KEOS was chosen to the one of the December finalists, and with the dawn of 2015 was named the winner.
