Superintendent Dr. Christie Whitbeck Shares Her Enthusiasm and Vision for Bryan ISD

Bringing a background of over 30 years in education and unwavering belief that children come first Bryan ISD Superintendent Dr. Christie Whitbeck explains what the Superintendent does and her unbridled enthusiasm in her role as the “CEO” of Bryan ISD.  She talks about the vast resources and programs available to Bryan ISD students and how every student can find their niche as they grow and learn.  Through collaboration with Texas A&M University and Blinn College, Bryan ISD has many opportunities for students.  She shared with us details about the Essential 8 Character Partnership which develops students into well rounded citizens through embracing the 8 essential character traits of Kindness, Tolerance, Gratitude, Philanthropy, Work Ethic, Optimism, Courage, and Leadership. 
 
Through embedding the Essential 8 into the culture of Bryan ISD everyone is on the same page as they work together as a proud and excited team.  Dr. Whitbeck shared with us her vision for the District and expressed how important community support and engagement are as she and her staff of over 2,800 work for the future of the community’s young leaders of tomorrow.  She talks about the upcoming bond referendum and the importance of the community supporting the investment in a new school, new transportation center and buses as well as additions and improvements for many campuses.  She wraps up with how the Bryan ISD community can support Bryan ISD by speaking well of it and building confidence and pride in our local public school system.
