Rudder High RangeRettes Shine & Advanced Academics Inspire in Bryan ISD

Entertaining audiences since 2008 The Rudder High School RangeRettes are an award winning group of dancers, serving as ambassadors for Rudder High School, Bryan ISD and the city of Bryan, Texas. RangeRettes Director Kelsie Salem stopped in at the KEOS studios to tell us more about the group.  As the Drill Team for Rudder High they’re the performers seen at half time during athletic events and at numerous shows and events during the year.  They provide service to the community, serve as leaders in their school, and compete in the early spring at the regional, state and national level.  The  5th Annual Holiday Extravaganza will be this Saturday, December 12th at 7:00 P.M. in the Rudder high School Auditorium.  Held in conjunction with the Rudder High School Cheerleaders, VOX COR and Theatre Departments the RangeRettes will help spread holiday cheer and entertain.

Advanced Academic programs in Bryan ISD give students from Elementary through High School opportunities to excel.  Christina Richardson, Director of Advanced Academics for Bryan ISD shared with us information about many of them.  Starting with Explore Academy at the Elementary school level and continuing with the Inquire Academy for Global Leadership and Odyssey STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Academies at the Intermediate and Middle School levels, and finishing up with the AP (Advanced Placement) Capstone Diploma Program at Rudder High School, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Bryan High School and Bryan Collegiate Dual Credit High School there are myriad options for gifted and talented students in Bryan ISD.  Students do not need to live within the attendance zones for any of the campuses at which Advanced Academic programs are offered in order to be enrolled in them.  Applications for the Inquire and Odyssey Academies programs open on December 3rd.  Parents and students who are interested in learning more about Advanced Academics and the application processes and deadlines can follow the appropriate links at
