Janina Hurtado, 45, a resident of Austin, TX., passed away August 31, 2013 after a brave battle with breast cancer. She leaves behind her significant other; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hurtado; her siblings Eddie, Ludy, and Michael and their spouses Grace, Susan, and Renee; and a seemingly endless supply of friends who fully reflect her appreciation for diversity, kindness, adventure, sports and music. Her beloved companion, Delores Rosas preceded her in death. Many thanks and appreciation to M.D. Anderson, Texas Oncology, Christopher House, as well as the tireless efforts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Janina would like donations made to the Bryan/College Station Community Radio Station KEOS, where she was a founding member, and to Hospice Austin Christopher House.
