Carol Davis-Rios is the winner of the Fall 2020 Volunteer Spotlight Award

 

Carol is the host of “Sounds of the Beatles…Expanded” and is a rotating host of “Sunday Blues” and “Rock Formations.” In addition, Carol has coordinated several refurbishment projects at KEOS; most recently, she managed the purchase and installation of new carpet at the KEOS Bell Studios. This involved a lot of phone calls, collecting and submitting bids to the KEOS Management Team and Board, meeting in person with a few contractors, and ultimately being at the studio to make sure everything got done. Thank you, Carol! We appreciate all of your efforts. You are part of the volunteers that make things happen. We couldn’t do it without you!

 

I’ve attached an announcement here that I will place on the dashboard at the studio later today, so please read it when you are on the air. You’ll notice that this announcement also includes a thank-you to Chicken Express for their support of this award (they have kindly donated a number of gift certificates that we will be passing along to winners of the award). In addition to the gift certificate, I’ll present Carol with a certificate and will join her on the air for a brief presentation. Due to COVID-19 concerns, we won’t have a larger gathering this time around, but please do congratulate Carol on this achievement.
