We welcome all interested candidates as volunteers at KEOS. To begin the process, e-mail a completed Volunteer Application to the Personnel Director Stevo Schlemmer at persdir@keos.org. He will discuss with you the volunteer opportunities and training process.

All volunteers are trained regarding:

KEOS structure, rules and policies
The nature of listener-supported community public radio

Volunteers who want to help us with reviewing new music are also trained regarding:

The reviewing process
Objectionable material in broadcasts

Additional training material to be covered with on-air volunteers includes:

FCC (Federal Communications Commission) rules and regulations
Programming principles, styles, and techniques

Potential on-air hosts also receive three or more mentoring sessions that include observation and hands-on training on the electronic studio equipment. After a "hot seat", where the trainee proves readiness to fly solo, the Personnel Director will schedule a final written test and an interview with the Management Team.

All training is conducted at the KEOS Bell Studios at 202 E. Carson Street, Bryan TX.
